About your photographer
Meet your photographer
As a newborn photographer, I am often asked why someone would need to book a session with me. Here are four reasons why newborn photography is important and why you should consider hiring me:
Capturing those first few weeks:
Newborns change so much in those first few weeks and it is so important to document that. I love being able to capture all of those details – the tiny toes, the soft skin, the tiny yawns.
The bond between parent and child:
There is nothing like the bond between a parent and child and I love being able to capture that. The love and joy that is so evident in those early weeks are just beautiful.
A lifetime of memories:
These photos will be cherished for a lifetime. They will be looked at again and again and will bring back all of the emotions of that time.
Something to share with grandparents and other family members:
Newborn photos are such a special way to share the news of a new baby with grandparents and other family members. It is a way to connect those who live far away with the newest member of the family.
If you are expecting a new baby, I would highly recommend booking a newborn session. I’ll make sure to get all the shots you want – from cute close-ups to darling detail shots.

Frequently asked questions
How old should a baby be for their newborn photoshoot?
We recommend booking a newborn session in the first 4 to 14 days after your baby is born when they will be sleeping deeply and curling up naturally for those precious newborn poses.
We understand that these first few weeks are unpredictable, and not everything goes according to plan. If you can’t make it during the first 14 days we still do “newborn-like” sessions for babies between 2 and 5 weeks old. During these sessions we strive to accommodate for your baby being more awake and less-posable.
When is the best time to schedule my maternity session?
The ideal time for your maternity photography session is between the 32 and 36 week of gestation.
We recommend booking your maternity photoshoot when you have had your 20 week scan so we can schedule a date based on your due date.
How long does a newborn session last?
Newborn sessions can last anywhere between 3-4 hours. This allows for setup, feedings and soothing time. With newborns and babies we will adapt the photo session to their routine. Remember, your baby is the “boss” during these photoshoots.
How much do maternity, newborn and cake smash sessions cost?
Your session fee includes your session time and up to 15 uniquely edited images. To view full pricing and different packages click HERE.
